Featured Artist: Amy Duffy

Time to celebrate with another Artist in Residence! This week we are giving extra congratulations to Amy Duffy for her newest release, the "Coastlines" Collection. We are especially in love with the photography on her website and social media, check it out for some inspiration!

First and foremost, we love how Amy really documents herself alongside her work! Showing the creator of the art has so many benefits. It establishes who you are and helps your collectors connect with you, not just an individual piece. It helps create consistency over time, since the artist will stay the same, but the subject matter or style may not! We even love that it helps to establish scale of the work, so it's easier to picture how the art will look in a home surrounded by people. Amy has done a great job keeping her and the details of her work in focus, so we can trust that we'd recognize her work and her if we ran into them in person. Her flat lays are another great touch on her website. By sharing her paint palette and materials with her audience, it helps them feel like they can envision the painting process. Amy's website is professional, clean and easy to navigate. She's prioritized making sales by listing her top offer of original works first, then moving onto print sales and a gift shop! This feels very intuitive to a buyer and subtly communicates "Start here" to anyone visiting her site.
