Why you should ditch your follower count anxiety as an artist

Be honest with yourself for a second: are you spending a little *too much* time thinking and stressing about your social media follower count? We’ve all been there. There’s a lot of societal pressure that makes us feel like we aren’t good or important enough unless we have a large following.

But in actuality, your Instagram following is waaaaaaay less important than you think it is. It doesn’t matter how many followers you have or how many likes you get. It only matters that you have a group of engaged, interested people who want to buy your art.

Think about it like friendship. The quality of your friendships is more important than the quantity of friends you have, right? Your follower count is the same. It’s just a vanity number and not an accurate representation of the health and success of your business!
